Last Sunday marked the highly anticipated release of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for Nintendo Wii, XBox 360, and PlayStation. While PlayStation and XBox users are used to having access to these games, this was the first Guitar Hero appearance on a Nintendo console.
For the longest time, Nintendo has had to go without these popular titles, so I have a feeling that many gaming companies are watching Guitar Hero III sales for the Nintendo Wii to see how well it does. If it does well, it is likely that we will get a lot of other popular titles moved over tot he Wii.
In looking at some recent figures from Amazon, it looks like Nintendo Wii users have responded! Early counts show that Nintendo Wii versions have outsold the competition in many places, included Amazon, which is usually a pretty good indicator. If this continues, this is a great sign for the future of the Nintendo Wii!
